I was an undergrad at Stanford in the 80s, and one of my dormmates was ROTC. Looking back, I sure wish I had taken that route, and not just for the financial help it would have given me. It's a fine line of work for those who are suited to it, and I think I would have been—though it might have been harder for a woman in the Navy in the 80s than it is today. Anyhow, glad you served and I hope it was a fine experience for you.
